DeskTux primarily is a website with tips and tricks for [[http://www.kernel.org/|Linux]] on desktops. I use it mainly as a sort of "knowledge-base" for myself because the information here was not easily found elsewhere, not complete or needed to be tweaked and/or corrected.

The author of this site is Jens Vogel, born in the mid-seventies in Germany, living in The Netherlands (maybe better known as Holland), [[http://www.linkedin.com/in/jenstorstenvogel|Linux Consultant]], using Linux since 1996 and since 2001 I am a full-time user also on my desktops.
I won't discuss the reasons why I use Linux. There are enough places where people do that ;-)
